Women’s March

Today (the 21st) was the International Women’s March on DC and sister cities.

I thought I would make an image for you guys because this is way too important to ignore.

[Myself wearing a pink knitted “pussy” hat, black tee, and jeans, carrying a sign which reads “Trans Rights are Human Rights! Disability Rights are Human Rights!”]

My sign specifically addresses that trans and disability rights are also a part of the broader fight for women’s rights (intersectional rights). This is because when someone is oppressed, everyone is oppressed.

There is some debate whether or not the pussy hat is transmisogyny (transphobic to trans women) because not all women have vaginas, but there are other ways of interpreting the hat so I will leave that up to you to figure out.
